ABOUT UGA THEATRE
With roots dating back to 1893, UGA Theatre is the University of Georgia's leading purveyor of innovative theatrical experiences. UGA Theatre produces six shows every year from a wide range of genres that display both modern and classic sensibilities. Each season is made up of four Main Stage productions and two Studio shows that operate on a limited budget in order to focus on a raw, purely theatrical experience. The final performance of each semester takes place in the ornate Fine Arts Theatre (pictured above) while all other performances take place in the recently-renovated Cellar Theatre (below).
Each show is directed, designed and performed by faculty, students, and professionals who reinforce the tradition of excellence synonymous with the University of Georgia. Whether in the intimate Cellar Theatre or on the historic Fine Arts and Seney Stovall stages, every performance is sure to challenge, enthuse, and delight audiences in a unique and inspiring way.
